Immigration Protesters Barred From Pruitt's Walkway

POSTED: 9:48 pm MST November 17, 2007
UPDATED: 7:52 am MST November 18, 2007

After weeks of protests outside a Phoenix furniture store, the owner has scored a small victory.

Roger Sensing got a temporary permit preventing anybody from protesting on the sidewalk in front of Pruitt's Furniture at Thomas Road and 34th Street.

Immigrant rights groups have been protesting in front of the store for several weeks now.

The feud started last month when sensing asked the Maricopa County Sheriff's Office to patrol the street for undocumented immigrants.

At least 24 people have been arrested.
